Reading notifications at your busy time might not be your cup of tea. That is why, Slack is up with notification preference feature, to ensure, you read them only at your convenient time.
You might not prefer to read messages or receive notifications for such messages when you are at the peak of an important meeting or having a gala time with your family over the weekends. If not all can understand your feelings, Slack can realize it, and that is why the company is out with a new feature that will allow you to set notification preference at your suitable time.
Earlier Slack allowed you to set “available” status, when you desired to read notifications, even on weekends. But from now on, you can customize the settings and choose no-notifications on weekends, or whichever day or time you remain busy.
As you turn off Slack’s notifications, you will remain on a “Do Not Disturb Mode,” and other Slack users at your workplace will be viewing a “z” sign next to your name to understand your current status. And, even if you use Slack in DND mode, you will not receive notification for the messages you have received, to ensure you don’t get distracted because of this.
Hopefully, Slack’s latest notification preference feature will make you enjoy your busy schedule.
